BRIEF
The Hatchery reached out to Rentertainment with a very interesting brief. The biggest leadership event for the public sector in Australia, running concurrently in Canberra, Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide and Perth needed some Rentertainment magic.

Seven summits, across six cities with 200+ speakers and over 3000 leaders. The summit was running 29th of September - 1st of October 2025. What was required of Rentertainment?

The Hon. Julia Gillard AC, the first and only female to serve as the Prime Minister of Australia was unable to physically be in Australia to speak at the leadership summit. What’s the next best thing? Hologram!

It was decided we would film Ms Julia Gillard in London prior to the summit and then using our Holograms, we would broadcast the footage to the seven locations across Australia.

ACTIVATION
After scouting the perfect studio to film in London, flights and accommodation were booked and off the team went. We had only one day to film therefore the team needed to ensure we captured everything required on that day. Ms Julia Gillard was an absolute pleasure to work with, lots of fun and great energy, so our job was made very easy! After the filming was complete, back we flew to Australia to set up for the summit. All holograms were transported to their locations and the footage was edited and finalised.

There were some late minute changes to the bump in times, which led to the team needing to set up the morning of the summit in both Brisbane and Melbourne, which isn’t preferable as it doesn’t allow for any time should anything go wrong.

OUTCOME
The summit was a huge success, the broadcast of the footage through the holograms went well with no issues occuring. All locations provided feedback on how amazing the technology is and how realistic it appeared; it was received positively by the guests.

What an incredible experience this was. Filming with the Hon. Julia Gillard in London to then broadcasting the footage to seven locations Australia wide, with no hiccups. An inspiring event, we were grateful to have been a part of.
