Metro Trains | Mirror Me Booth | November, 2018
The brief from Thread Communications as Spring Racing 2018 was approaching was an interesting one. Their client was after a Spring Carnival activation, on a race day, but not at the racecourse!
Metro Trains were creating an activation at the iconic Flinders Street station, where people travelling to the races would have an opportunity to snap a photo of themselves in their glamorous attire en route to Flemington.
The Mirror Me Booth was the perfect service for this. Capturing full length pics, it would snap the guests entire outfit, from fascinator to heel, and could capture singles, couples and groups. With the extensive branding opportunities, both digital and physical, Metro could seamlessly integrate the booth into their space.
Guests were offered both a printed souvenir to take away, and the chance to go into the draw to win a races package when they digitally shared their photo.
With over 600 sessions in the booth across the two days, leading to thousands of social shares and impressions, Metro were thrilled with the outcome. The booth even received media coverage due to its high popularity at the station.
The activation was a fantastic center piece to Flinders Street Station for the two days, and guests (who were already in the party mode and looking glam!) thoroughly enjoyed the experience!
